The Sr Director, Analytics and IT Data will work to continuously improve the data and analytics infrastructure and practices, operating model and organizational design to maximize business outcomes. This position is also responsible for leading and managing an architecture practice and identifying, initiating, and leading company-wide strategic solutions that fulfill specific business and technology outcomes.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish strong relationships with key business and technology stakeholders; influence senior leaders and all levels of business and technology staff
  • Define and support the approach for Data and Analytics strategy development that balances business priorities and timelines with technical constraints
  • Act as primary liaison between Engineering and Analytics teams to support execution of Data and Analytics strategy
  • Formulate and execute process and organizational improvement, direction, and programs to enhance overall effectiveness; proactively seek ways to improve Data and Analytic processes; understand business process, issues/problems and define solutions to improve Data and Analytic architecture and systems
  • Engage executives to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable and drive business outcomes
  • Support the development of production reporting through development of tools, infrastructure, data access for internal and client facing analytics and reporting
  • Enable, conduct and support, ad hoc and production reporting aligned with the company goals and objectives


Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 10 years of related work experience in Business Analysis, System Design and Development, Systems Engineering, or technical architecture; to include 5 years direct experience working within a health system, health plan or PBM within related analytics or systems
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • In-depth knowledge of drug chain financials, reimbursement methodologies across pharmacy and medical claims
  • Extensive experience with medical and pharmacy claim information, fields, mapping and manipulation
  • In-depth knowledge of drug related coding, relevant to both medical and pharmacy benefit
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

  • Self-learner, ability to work independently and lead the learning and work of others
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and/or previous start-up experience
  • Advanced degree or certification in health informatics, systems, business administration, or financial analysis
